Welcome to Bluff Dale High School

Hello! My name is Tanya Wood. I grew up in a small Texas town much like Bluff Dale, where I learned to value hard work, close community, and the simple joys of country life. I graduated from Texas A&M University in 1993 with a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts and later earned my Master’s degree in Education from Lamar University in 2022.

Over the past 30 years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching students from 2nd through 12th grade. Every stage has brought its own joys and challenges, and I’ve truly loved every minute of it. Teaching is more than a career to me—it’s a calling.

Outside the classroom, I’m the happy wife of Steve Wood and a very proud grandmother to four amazing grandchildren. I also enjoy spending time outdoors—whether it’s hiking, gardening, or simply soaking up nature.

I am thrilled to be joining the Bobcat Nation and look forward to a fantastic year ahead!
